In early fall 2012 Generic Surprlus introduced the Longwing shoe which was based on one of their more staple designs the Wingman. The Longwing emphasized minimalism while keeping consistent with a sophisticated aesthetic. The fall collection included great colours like green suede/canvas ($130), tobacco brown leather/tweed ($145), and black leather/wool ($145) which were set atop a sturdy sole making this line ideal for the Autumn climate. Seeing that we are in the heart of winter a shoe like this may prove to be less than ideal, so why are we featuring it? It’s a simple case of shoe love. We fell in love with these shoes back in fall and figured that if they could help transition you into Winter why not out! The Longwing shoe from Generic Surplus is a great piece of footwear ideal for those Fall months but also those early Spring days when the snow has melted but that infamous Toronto chill is still in the air.
